- Katherine Levin Farrell was an American scholarly artist, with whom attained years of instruction from many awarded artists from the 19th Century. Her painting style bridges impressionism and pointillism. The combination creates very attractive art works combining subtle colors that leave calming and tranquil atmospheres. The sail boats depicted reflect on the water with gleaming specks of light transcending down. The town in the distance exude colorful arrangements of pinks, greens, and light purples. This painting is a gorgeous showcase of Levin's excellence as an oil painter. The painting is signed bottom right corner, and is displayed in a wonderful unique gold carved gilt wood frame.
