CONTEMPORARY AND FINE ART | NYC
Christie Owen, Ash Almonte, JM Robert, Daniel Fiorda & Gieler - December 4 -26, 2026
Lilac Gallery New York is pleased to present “Entwined Edges” a winter group exhibition of works by Christie Owen, Ash Almonte, JM Robert, Daniel Fiorda & Gieler.
Five distinct voices converge in a single, vibrating space where surface is never passive. Christie Owen’s hand-loomed horizons—indigo Appalachia and salt-rose coasts—hang beside JM Robert’s volcanic mixed-media eruptions, their scorched canvases cracked open like cooled lava. Ash Almonte’s hyper-saturated resin pours collide with Michiel Folkers’ street-salvaged collages, where faded posters of forgotten pop icons peel back to reveal raw plywood and spray-paint ghosts, and Fiorda’s iconic castings linking the past and present, old and new, with a subtle irony and criticism.
Together they map a shared lexicon: fiber, pigment, and urban detritus braided into topographies of memory. Owen’s latest works graze metallic surfaces, catching and refracting Almonte’s neon drips. Gieler’s “I Defy Gravity“—a Monroe piece—striking and mysterious, communicates history with its edges leaning into Owen’s luminous resin.
The exhibition brings together these distinct artistic voices in a dynamic conversation about memory, emotion, identity, and the fragile beauty of the human experience. Christie Owen presents a new series of luminous, atmospheric paintings that blur the line between abstraction and figuration, inviting viewers into dreamlike spaces where light and color become emotional language. JM Robert unveils large-scale works that fuse raw gestural energy with intricate layered surfaces, exploring themes of time, erosion, and renewal through a visceral material language.
