A truly masterful depiction of several colorful sail boats in Gloucester Harbor, scene on the reflective water with a glowing sun shimmering through the puffed clouds. An oil on board impressionist painting with much attention to detail and rich colours, as the sails pass through the sparkling waters. The artist employed small and thick impasto brushwork to create the boats with the use of bright bursts of oil paint with looser strokes to create the sky. The painting is signed by the artist lower right, and it comes housed in a robust gold tone ornate wood frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
