A charming oil painting from the 20th Century depicting a French countryside landscape scene with a small pathway of lilacs. With a figure across the fence and another one into the distance heading down toward the water. The trees are in bloom as the clouds drift past in the blue sky. The colors are rich with thick use of paint and whimsicality. We can feel the breeze and the sun shining. This piece takes us to a time which is captured effortlessly. This piece is signed by the artist lower right and it comes housed in the original gold tone gilt wood frame from the period with linen liner and hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
