#006666

A masterful oil painting depicting a coastal scene with a sail boat passing through the glimmering waters, lush hills, and seaside buildings under a lightly clouded sky. This particular scene is a plein air painting, as Huse is known for painting on her boat with a view of the land and sail boats passing through. She creates numerous views of coaster life from the water, and this piece is a pertinent example of this. Her use of a rich color pallet, pallet knife, and layers of paint gives this work such a stunning representation of harbor life. The way she uses flecks of light dashed on the water creates a joy for the viewer to experience. This painting is signed by the artist lower left, also titled and dated with affixed label from the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association on verso, it comes housed in a beautiful wide dark wood frame with gold liner with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
