A truly masterful depiction of waves crashing by the rocks at Loblolly Cover in Rockport Massachusetts. The scene of Seagulls flying through the water as the waves crash create a stunning view. The glowing sailboat scene in the distance pops with color as the waves tumble and fall. This piece is an oil on canvas impressionist painting with much attention to detail and rich colors, as the sail boat passes through the turquoise waters in the distance. The artist employed small and thick impasto brushwork to create this depiction with the use of bright bursts of oil paint with looser strokes to create the sky. The painting is signed by the artist lower right, and it comes housed in a dark tone wood frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
