A charming oil painting executed in 1935, with thick paint, capturing E. A. Moore's Farm in Kensington, Connecticut. The farm is depicted with lush greenery surrounding it, and we can feel that a mood is set, as the sky, a soft blue with puffed, weighted clouds, is seen in the daylight. Overall, this painting glorifies the early 20th Century with much depth and detail. With beautiful brushwork and strong contrasting colors, this fine work is done with rich colors of cobalt blue, mars black, and pops of bright whites and raw umbers throughout. The piece is signed by the artist lower left and on verso. It comes housed in a Plein Air gold leaf frame with linen liner and nameplate affixed at the bottom center, and hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
Condition: With ordinary wear from age and some light scattered craquelure, it comes displayed in a vintage frame that shows some ordinary wear from age and minor imperfections in line with the manufacturing period (please see the listing pictures for details).
